Support Archives in Love and War
The moment a record becomes a mirror
Archives in Love and War connects people to their own records, so they can recognize themselves in a history they never knew was theirs.
We offer recognition, not resolution. Records go back to the people they document, with care and with someone beside them, when they are ready. Your gift also opens this work to the generations that follow: children and grandchildren asking how this history gets passed on.

What your gift makes possible
- Records belong to the people they document: care and digitization of original records, and answers for adoptees who come forward under every name they have carried
- Return, with consent and care: the 2027 File Delivery Circuit, using the LEAP consent framework so no one meets their file alone
- Witnesses while they can still tell it: recorded interviews with caregivers and elders, and gatherings where generations meet
- Pass it on: the StoryDeck, including the Second Generation deck, and LEAP shared with other archives and museums, so younger people can carry the history forward

The archive has waited fifty years
It can wait for you to be ready. It cannot wait forever for the witnesses. Help us record them now, so the next generation inherits the voices, not only the paper.
